There is just something about a square basin that says 'unconventional' and is a real statement in your bathroom. Whether used alone, or doubled-up for a couples or main bathroom, the proportions of a square basin also give a sense of a very modern style of design. Here are four of our current favourites.
Chunky and Modern
Duravit’s chunky Vero basin looks great as a countertop basin. Accessorise with a floating shelf or cabinet underneath for extra storage and double them up for added luxury. They look great with either wall mounted taps, as shown here, or tall deck taps to one side.
Floating and Elegant
The RAK Nova semi-recessed basin is super sleek and creates a very modern feel. This looks fantastic on a floating shelf or over the edge of a cabinet, but what makes it more unique is the cutaway feature which also makes it more elegant and feminine.
Curvy and Feminine
We love the curved edges of Roca’s Senso Square basin which comes in a wide variety of configurations, from wall hung to full pedestal. It is a very feminine shape and works well in both modern and slightly more traditional bathrooms.
Sculpted and Cool
Lastly, but by no means leastly, how cool is the Vitra Options Piu Due Square Countertop Basin? The sculpted, ceramic-thin form is ultra-elegant and looks more like a piece of sculpture than a basin. It is best accessorised with wall-mounted taps so that its shape is uninterrupted.
