The Wellesley Hotel, London
The Wellesley is a 1920s townhouse beautifully restored with a modern take on the Art Deco style and with every modern convenience. The hotel is named after Sir Arthur Wellesley, the first Duke of Wellington. He was a fine military leader who served as the Prime Minister of Great Britain twice between 1828 and 1834, and later as leader of the House of Lords. His statue stood atop the original Marble Arch commissioned by King George IV to commemorate victory in the Napoleonic Wars.
The Churchill Suite, part of The Wellesley Penthouse, features its own winding staircase leading onto a private terrace offering unique rooftop views over Belgravia and South-West London, providing some of London's finest views. The magnificent Excelsior bath was chosen as it is a grand statement bathtub, cast in solid marine grade aluminium and bonded with an acrylic liner for maximum heat retention. Guests can wind down in the Excelsior bath in the Churchill Suite and in several other ensuites at the hotel.
The Malabar B&B, Garths, Marthwaite, Sedbergh - By AquaJade Bathrooms
The Malabar was once the busy barn belonging to Garths Farm housing an enormous hayloft, cattle stalls and dairy that dated back to the 1700s. Respecting its origins the bedrooms marry original stone walls and oak beams with Herdwick wool carpets and soft furnishings that subtly reflect the years spent in India and the Far East. Light now fills the once cool, dark cavernous barn and each bedroom enjoys far reaching views across the hills.
Sliding barn doors into the bathrooms offer as much, or as little, privacy as you would like while you soak away any strain in BC Designs' large free standing Boat Baths which were painted to order in funky modern colours with an acrylic inner and outer. The bathrooms also feature walk in showers and Bath House toiletries, with unspoilt views of the surrounding countryside all around.
The Fish Hotel, Farncombe Estate, Broadway - Designed by Ripples
Nestled away in The Cotswolds sits a beautiful boutique hotel, The Fish, a country hotel with a twist. The Fish Hotel is a collection of quirky hotel houses on a hillside with a spectacular setting and view. This is a new kind of country hotel, superior to budget hotels yet affordable; stylish and cosy, without being pretentious - whether you are here to explore the outdoors or to put your feet up by the fire, The Fish Hotel offers something special and different in the Costwolds.
The bathrooms have been stylishly designed by Ripples, with the aim for them to be traditional, yet with a contemporary feel. The centrepiece of each bathroom is a beautiful BC Designs Boat Bath painted in a bespoke Farrow & Ball shade.
The Dial House Hotel, Essex - Supplied by MAG Bathrooms
With its enviable position just a stone's throw off the charming High Street of Bourton on the Water and the calming waters of the River Windrush, The Dial House offers a unique way to enjoy life in the Cotswolds. Built in the world-renowned style known as the Costwold Venacular, the building dates back to 1698 and is one the Village's elder statesmen. It has a wonderful character; deep-set stone walls, cosy corners, fireplaces and an individuality that becomes a home from home before you know it.
But the luxury "Grand Tour" are anything but ordinary. These boutique rooms include weird and wonderful curiosities, enormous Excelsior bath tubs and drench showers. The luxury bedrooms at The Dial House Hotel tell the tale of Georgian passions, interests and discoveries and you can take yourself back to Georgian times in one of 8 Georgian-themed luxury bedrooms - book a night at The Raj, meet contemporary notables in The Print Room, marvel at the weird and wonderful cabinet of curiosities and test your knowledge of Natural History classification.
The Congham Hall Hotel & Spa - By Grahams, Colchester
The Congham Hall Hotel is a secluded 26 bedroom hotel with a state-of-the-art spa. This privately owned Georgian manor set in the heart of the beautiful Norfolk countryside, offers a haven for relaxation or a base to visit all that Norfolk has to offer - the splendid sandy beaches of the North Norfolk coast, bustling market towns, nature reserves and the Queen’s beloved Sandringham Estate are all within a stone’s throw.
When the Congham Hall was refurbishing its rooms, they wanted classic design with a contemporary twist. The BC Designs' Kurv bath was chosen for the honeymoon suite while boat baths in bright shades take centre stage in the ensuites. Each was paired with BC Designs Victrion brassware to complete the look.
Enjoy a coastal stay in one of four beautiful self-catering apartments located on the Sheringham promenade just meters from the sea.
The apartments feature superb sea views, open-plan layouts, Egyptian cotton bedding, gorgeous en-suites, excellent kitchen facilities, balcony, dining and lounge with full entertainment system. BC Designs Boat Bath was chosen for its elegant profile and luxury finish.
Foam & Bubbles Expert Verdict:
It's amazing to see such a range of products, all sourced from one company and all delivering on quality and customisability. It's hard to choose a favourite but, while I love the sensual curves of the modern Kurv bath, for originality I'd have to choose the paintable Boat Bath; seeing it in the Malabar Hotel project in all those gorgeous colours is just heavenly.
