GROHE is celebrating the success of its Blue press and blogger cookery event, which saw more than 40 guests try their hand at recipes made with a fundamental ingredient – filtered water from a GROHE Blue tap.

The three session event, held at the Underground Cookery School in London, took place on Wednesday 27th September for a lunch and dinner session, and Thursday 28th lunch. The exclusive press and blogger classes invited guests to better their understanding of the importance of ‘unbottled’ water both in terms of sustainability and the benefits and ease it can bring to everyday life. TV chef Ed Baines also highlighted the importance of using fresh filtered water offered by the GROHE Blue, to enhance the taste of food and allow natural flavours to shine, untainted by tap water.

Guests enjoyed hands-on cooking sessions led by Ed Baines using the GROHE Blue water. During the lunch classes, guests got to grips with dressing fresh crab and whipping up a chocolate torte, while dinner attendees made a selection of tantalising canapes including sea bass goujons and chicken satay. Drinks were served by mixologist experts Eventology, who created exciting mocktails and cocktails using GROHE Blue sparkling water.

Raj Mistry, GROHE UK Marketing Director, comments, “We ran these sessions with the aim of highlighting the importance of fresh, filtered water and are delighted with their success. The sessions invited guests to deepen their understanding of the growing environmental problems caused by bottled water and how we can all do our part to help by simply switching to drinking water straight from the tap- now without compromising on the taste or quality. It was great to see the interaction and the hands-on fun that everyone enjoyed over the two days.”

The award-winning GROHE Blue Home delivers delicious chilled and filtered still, medium and sparkling water straight from the tap, providing a sustainable alternative to bottled. It takes seven whole litres of water, as well as plastic, energy and CO2 emissions to produce just one litre of industrial mineral water. To produce one litre of GROHE Blue Home water, it takes just that – one litre of water. Moreover, a study from the University of Göttingen in Germany has found that the Blue Home water system reduces CO2 emissions by more than 60 percent.

Consumers will be able to enjoy samples of GROHE Blue water at Grand Designs Live Birmingham, held at the NEC from the 11th – 15th October 2017. Visit GROHE on stand K84.
