Team with traditional brassware in chrome, or even antique brass, for a real bathroom statement. **Don’t leave your walls bare** Layering adds interest to a country bathroom so treat your walls to feature tiles or tongue-and-groove panelling. **Keep your colours soft** Organic colours work well in a country bathroom, like a sage green or a soft grey. Have a look at paint manufacturers like Farrow & Ball and Little Greene for colours and finishes well-suited to country bathrooms. **Keep floors neutral and natural** Both wood floors and tiles work well, but keep colours light and bright. Natural tones and textures work best. **Add vintage accessories** Trendy wire baskets, rustic towel rails and antique mirrors all add to the country look. But these don’t have to cost a fortune – go for a rummage around your nearest reclamation yard or antiques shop.
