Bathroom radiators and heating

There are a wealth of beautiful radiators to choose from, to suit your new bathroom. Chosen well, they are the perfect finishing touch to your bathroom look. Here we profile the more popular types.

Bathroom Radiators and Heating

Traditional floor-mounted towel radiators
For a period bathroom, these towel radiators are an excellent use of space. They can hold lots of towels and are big enough to heat your room as well although they are not the most effective heat-wise.

Traditional cast iron radiators
For more heat, solid cast iron radiators are a great option for period bathrooms - they look great and store a lot of heat. They are heavy though so make sure your floor can cope with the weight. You can find originals or reproduction versions which look just as good as the real thing.

Traditional towel and cast iron / steel radiators
For the best of both worlds, choose a cast iron (or steel shown here on the right) combined with an integrated heated towel rail. Hold towels and easily heat the room…win, win.

Bathroom Radiators and Heating

Modern towel rails
If your bathroom is not period but not ultra-modern either, go for one of these modern steel radiators. A sleek look that can also be found in different colours and bright steels will look great in a modern bathroom and will keep your towels toasty-warm.

Bathroom Radiators and Heating

Ultra-modern towel rails
If you’ve got an ultra-modern bathroom, go all out with a super-modern style towel radiator like one of these beauties. Wall mounted, they seem to float on the wall and make a cool feature in any modern bathroom.

Under-floor heating
Of course, to save yourself some space, underfloor-heating is the perfect choice. It can be electric with its own programmer or plumbed into your central heating system.
