Inspiring you with beautiful bathroom tiles

When designing a new bathroom, you can't leave the decision of wall and floor tiling to the last minute. In fact, we would recommend starting with your tiling choices, as the textures and colours of them will greatly affect your choices for the remainder of your bathroom. It may seem like there are endless choices on the market but we've highlighted four types of tile to help you navigate your way through.
Textured tiles
For a truly original look, chose textured tiles. From a graphic white pattern to mermaid-inspired turquoise to pale Moroccan green, there really is something to suit all bathrooms. Designers choose wall tiles like these to add the 'wow' factor to a bathroom and it's certainly not a choice for the shy and retiring.
Subway tiles
Subway tiles are now a bathroom staple – an easy way to add a modern feel. For a more individual look, try white tiles with black grout, glossy dark grey tiles or even in marble for a really luxe version. Choose these tiles and they will give your room a modern feel and make your bathroom tile area pop.
Patterned tiles
These are still for the brave, but we have found three examples that are not too overbearing. Use as a backdrop to a rolltop, to give a shower floor a dramatic look or in autumnal colours to accessorise your vintage-vibe bathroom. These bathroom ideas are simple to source, easy to fit but will really make your tiled bathroom look designed and inspired.
Hexagonal tiles
Hex tiles are quite new to the UK, but are gaining in popularity – they may even be the next subway tile. They come in a variety of sizes and look equally great in large or small white tiles on the walls, or large dark tiles on the floor to enhance a dramatic industrial look. Bathroom ideas often start in other countries (like the US in this case), but once imported, can give our bathrooms a fresh new feel.
